Initiated in first decade and further developed in subsequent phases, Erasmus Student Network entered a period of strategic expansion, seeking to strengthen its presence within European higher education and public affairs in Brussels and beyond. The ambition was not only to grow the network, but to articulate a clearer role for the organisation in representing international student mobility across local, national and European levels.
This led to the development of a differentiated positioning strategy and visual identity, supported by a public diplomacy framework. The strategic direction formulated during the consultancy process continued to inform the organisation’s self-understanding, public identity and subsequent development. Today, Erasmus Student Network operates as an established NGO within the higher education landscape, with sections in more than 500 cities and over 1,000 higher education institutions across Europe.
