Zurich Design Weeks 2026 is a public festival exploring design through exhibitions, installations, workshops, talks and guided walks. Its aim is to examine how design shapes social, economic and environmental conditions while creating opportunities for exchange, participation and practical engagement.
Framed by the theme “OUT OF…”, the programme invites audiences to move beyond familiar ways of thinking and making. It explores material experimentation, circularity, digital fabrication, sensory experience, craftsmanship, urban perspectives, graphic communication and new forms of collaboration.
The festival considers how design can respond to resource use, technological change, social diversity and environmental pressure. It presents design as a means of questioning established systems, creating alternative perspectives and connecting everyday practices with wider cultural and ecological conditions.
